Swiss Summer School on "Democratic innovations"

(December 2014) The 2nd Swiss Summer School in Democracy Studies on „Democratic Innovations” will take place at the University of Zurich, 22-26 June 2015. Application deadline: 15 March 2015

The Summer School “Democratic Innovations“ brings together academics from all over the world with a common interest in how established democracies adapt to new challenges and transform in that process. Institutional innovations in citizen participation, new forms of political behavior and public deliberation, and the effects of digital technologies in reaching out to the public will be addressed in five one-day sessions.

The Summer School gives PhD students a unique opportunity to discuss their research projects in small groups and with well-known experts from their field. It is open to all doctoral students in political science, media and communication science, political philosophy and related disciplines of the University of Zurich, as well as of other Swiss and international universities – however, places are limited to 25!

Apply now online for the Swiss Summer School Democracy Studies 2015 “Democratic Innovations”. Applications will be accepted until Sunday, 15 March 2015. Please refer to the flyer and our website for additional information.
