Globalisierung, Mediatisierung und Populismus: Herausforderungen für die Demokratie im 21. Jahrhundert

Short presentation of the NCCR Democracy's research findings by Prof. Daniel Kübler, Director NCCR Democracy. Wednesday, 14 June 2017, 17:30-18:00 at the University of Zurich, main building, Rämistr. 71, KOH B-10.

The NCCR Democracy was launched by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the University of Zurich in 2005. Since then, social scientists in the NCCR have worked together in over 50 research projects to understand the current challenges that are fundamentally transforming democracy: globalization, the rise of populism and the growing role of the media in politics ("mediatization"). Prof. Daniel Kübler, Director of the NCCR Democracy, will present a summary of the research findings to the public in a short lecture.

His public talk at the University of Zurich is part of the series "Globalization, Mediatization and Populism: Challenges to Democracy in the 21st Century" to mark the conclusion of the NCCR Democracy research program.

No entrance fee, registration is not required.
